How do I close/delete my account?
By clicking on the 'Delete Account' button in User Profile screen within the app. Deleting an account will a) delete all app data from your device b) mark all your data for deletion from Healtheja servers within 10 days c) Prevent creating a new account( using previous credentials) for up to 10 days
Can I recover my data if I delete and reinstall the app?
No, if you delete the Healtheja app from your device, your locally stored data (including your chats, health profiles and medication reminders) cannot be automatically restored when you reinstall the app. This is intentionally designed as a privacy feature - Healtheja's backend systems store chat data separately from user identity data without persistent links between them. While this significantly enhances your privacy protection, it means we cannot reconnect you with your specific data after reinstallation. To preserve your data between installations, we recommend using your platform's built-in backup features (iCloud Backup for iOS or Google Backup for Android) before deleting the app

How is my health data protected?
We take your privacy and data security very seriously. We store very minimal user identity data (email only). User identity data is kept separate from the chat data without any persistent link between the two datasets. Important data like user medications, health profiles are stored persistently on their device only. We allow users to delete any data they create with Healtheja. Can I delete my data from Healtheja (without deleting account)?
Yes, you can delete any data - individual chats, Health profiles, medication reminders - any time. Individual chats can be deleted by swiping left on the them - doing so deletes chats from your device and also marks them for deletion from Healtheja servers within 10 days. Note that medication reminders, Health Profiles are stored on your device and can be deleted at any time. For more detail, please review our Privacy Policy.
